Our goal is to assist in ushering in a modern day renaissance involving a transformation of social and cultural patterns. Such a transformation will result from a revolution of human values and consciousness. Our activities are aimed at assisting an evolving humanity in its next step forward, and inspiring a sense of personal responsibility for human and planetary wellbeing.     

Expressing the Light and sharing the Vision.

Like many in this time of chaos and transition, we at SUN envision a better world. It is easy to get lost in the turmoil and confusion of the times and to see negativity and destruction instead of hope and inspiration. Yet there are many who are able to pierce through the surface illusion to perceive the great opportunity that awaits us all. 

We seek to provide the tools by which the public may come to enlightened and wise conclusions concerning the type of society in which they wish to live. To accomplish this SUN strives to:

• Describe the vision We must hold the vision of a better world continually before us. There is an evolutionary, divinely inspired direction in which we are all moving and there are divine principles that are seeking expression in this age of materialism and technology.

• Identify the problems that face humanity What are the existing problems that obstruct the expression of a better world and which must disappear before the evolutionary urge to betterment may be accomplished?

• Share Knowledge In order to make wise decisions, appropriate and accurate knowledge must be made available. We will assist our colleagues at Worldwide Renaissance in their quest to produce knowledge festivals in every welcoming neighborhood.

  • SUN will also sponsor Community outreach programs aimed at relating the present opportunity for human growth and change to practical humanitarian efforts to improve the human and planetary condition.

• Uniting the Progressive Community  The task of human and planetary uplift is long and arduous. A sense of hope, inspiration and mutual purpose must be provided in order to encourage and provide motivation.

  • To this end, SUN is working jointly with Worldwide Renaissance, to develop and maintain an online database of the projects, activities, and accomplishments of those organizations and individuals who are striving to create a better world.  Eventually we hope this database will bring together men and women of goodwill so that progressives and humanitarians everywhere may find a like-minded community and a place to serve.

  • SUN also intends to sponsor local gatherings aimed at providing opportunities to meet and network with likeminded, socially conscious individuals and organizations.

  • Journal of World Servers: a future, potential offering that would serve the needs goals and concerns of the humanitarian community.  

• Research another future, potential offering designed to further the field of World Service by researching, analyzing and disseminating successful methods used by various organizations to achieve their humanitarian goals.

Expressing Love in Action

The transformation of social, cultural and interpersonal values are predicated upon the emergence of a more evolved and compassionate humanity. Any Society or social order is a direct reflection of the average level of consciousness obtained by its inhabitants. Evolved and compassionate societies are composed of evolved and compassionate citizens. Our goal therefore is to promote the widespread cultivation of goodwill, inclusiveness, compassion and harmony by: 

• inspiring widespread participation in a conscious and global effort to bring about human and planetary improvement. We wish to inspire everyone to contribute to the process of building a better world. To do this there must be a widespread conviction of our collective responsibility for the welfare of all.

• developing new modes of humanitarian service in response to the spiritual and humanitarian needs of the time. New and dynamic methods must be developed to accomplish new and dynamic humanitarian goals. Some of the methods under consideration include:    

• Service Fairs will consist of a gathering of progressive and humanitarian organizations. The public will have an opportunity to meet humanitarians engaged in activities in their area and to identify organizations with whom to volunteer or otherwise support.

• Service Conferences will also bring together progressive humanitarian organizations in order to share experiences, best practices, forge collaborations and otherwise advance the field of humanitarian service.

• Lecture Tours designed to bring topics concerning the transformation of values, and the evolution of human consciousness to the attention of the public.  

• promoting the great Truth that all spiritual traditions derive from the same Spiritual Source. There is therefore an underlying unity and essential oneness common to all spiritual paths. Our print and electronic literature along with conferences and community programs will educate the public about the various and diversified religious and spiritual traditions. We encourage the recognition and appreciation of that which unifies over that which divides.

• sharing the Ageless Wisdom teachings to those who welcome them. The Ageless Wisdom is the soil in which the great spiritual traditions of the world have their roots. It also provides meaning and purpose to all life and all existence. SUN staff will offer classes on the Ageless Wisdom and related topics.

• promoting stewardship - as the most evolved species on the planet, humanity has a responsibility to nurture and become stewards to the animal, plant and mineral kingdoms in nature. SUN supports animal rights and environmental concerns and encourages the widespread acknowledgement of the legitimacy of these issues.

Nurturing the Will-to-Good

Nurturing the will-to-good or Goodwill involves cultivating the determination to struggle in the cause of human and planetary uplift, to strive to correct the problems that face humanity and to labor to achieve a modern renaissance of human values. We seek to achieve these goals by: 

• defining Goodwill and providing examples of Goodwill in action. Through print and electronic media, SUN will help make the principle of Goodwill easily recognizable and inspire the widespread expression of the will-to-good.

• hosting Goodwill conferences which will provide a forum for active discussion and practice as well as stress the significance of goodwill as it relates to human evolution.

• fostering collaborative alliances with likeminded groups and individuals who share goals of human and planetary uplift. Collaboration is the keynote of the future. We receive strength and inspiration in the knowledge that there are others who share our goals, dreams and purposes. Among the many collaborative opportunities SUN will sponsor are:

  • Task force for Humanity Summits. Taskforce for Humanity Summits are designed to connect independent organizations across various  fields of social change. These summits seek to harness human evolutionary potential by nurturing and encouraging collaboration and the exchange of ideas around shared progressive goals and values.  SUNs Summits are designed to strengthen the hands of the socially progressive community through wisdom, interchange and by opening new pathways for collaboration.  Click here For more about Task Force for Humanity Summits.

  • Task force for Humanity mini Summits Similar to the larger summits but on a smaller or more local scale. Additional purposes may involve regular meetings of local humanitarian organizations for the purpose of establishing alliances with other organizations either on a long-term or on a project by project basis.
